You won’t believe what you’re going to read below about P90X, Insanity and Shakeology so I had to go through the vault of my computers and find proof for you. One of the hardest things about any transformation is taking that first picture of where you’re starting. The best part of this is when you take that final picture and you look back to see how far you have come. All images are clickable so you can see the full results.
Now that I’m a Beachbody Coach this seems like an old hat to me but a few years ago it wasn’t so easy. I haven’t really posted all of these pictures publicly before so this is really putting it all out there. Let’s start from the way way back.
Here is a picture of me in late 2007 soon after my daughter Isabelle was born. This was one of those times where you and your spouse decide “Ok, we had a child let’s lose this baby fat we have gained” *FAIL* I don’t have a finished picture because we didn’t finish P90X.
I searched and searched and could not find anything related to 2009. We didn’t even have the ambition to start any fitness program that year. *EPIC FAIL #3*
FINALLY in 2010 something kicked in. I remember in January there was a “biggest loser” competition at school where I teach. The scale said 195 pounds and I was freaked out that I was so close to 200 POUNDS. That was probably what kicked me into high gear. My wife, Nikki, also decided that we didn’t need to start something, we needed to PLAN what we were going to do. We picked a day to start and mapped out 90 days of eating the best we knew how and working out 6 days a week like the program said. This is a picture of my half way point *WHOA*
We had finally finished P90X. I have NO clue how much weight I lost but I do know that I grabbed 2nd place in the “biggest loser” challenge even though I started P90X half way through the competition.
From there it was a little up and down with injuries, surgery and just plain not giving it my all. No matter what though, ever since that first successful transformation with P90X in March of 2010 I have been able to start and complete any program that I have decided to do. Here are a couple of my SUCCESSFUL transformations.
I wasn’t totally committed quite yet so in the fall of 2011 I went through another round of P90X and this time we started to drink Shakeology. I started at about 175 pounds and finished near 160 pounds. This is probably the first time over the past 18 months that I knew 160 pounds was about where I needed to be. This is the picture where my wife has said, “That’s when the old Brian disappeared”. HA, just look at that face.
In 2012 Beachbody really came out with some new products that I jumped on board with to see what was possible. Like I mentioned earlier by this time I was committed and able to start and finish any product thrown at me. This first picture is after I went through 21 days with The Ultimate Reset. This requires ZERO physical activity and only eating a strict meal with supplements. WOW
Soon after the Reset I jumped on board with building muscle. Thanks to Body Beast I was able to gain about 12 pounds of muscle. You really see the transformation with Body Beast after I was WAY TOO SKINNY.
2013 must have been a bland type of year for me. I remember staying active and fit and going through programs but I mostly just stayed around that 160-165 lb. area. Something happened during the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year and I almost quit working out entirely. It was not good and when the new year came something had to be done.
So in 2014 from January 1st – March 1st the only liquids I put in my body was water and milk. That along with working out dropped me about 10 pounds and then I hit another Beachbody program called The 21 Day Fix. This is much different than The Ultimate Reset. This program has you eat what I call “normal food” but it’s a portion control. I dropped another 10 pounds and was happy to be back to where I was.
As you can see I go up and down a little like anyone else and need support from some one, usually my wife. Very few people can transform their bodies alone and that’s why there are Beachbody Coaches. I’m here to help and would love to help you get started with your transformation.
