Affiliate Marketing Training Forums (series)

Have you noticed the influx of internet marketing training forums that have popped up the past few months? I have and I’ve checked out quite a few of them.

Over the next few days I’m going to go through a list of these forums that claim to help you make money online through affiliate marketing. Even though the most common solution to your marketing troubles is to “JUST DO IT”. But, it is nice to see other ideas and ask simple questions when starting out.

You may not even know how to create an ad on Facebook or Plenty of Fish or know how PPV works and so that is why there is a market for these types of forums. Here is a list of the forums that I’ll be giving an overview of throughout the next week or two. The Sexiest Picture in Affiliate Marketing

Since this is a male driven hobby or business you were all expecting something more than this I’m sure. Although maybe a little “Women of Affiliate Marketing” post is in order for future reference.

Ok so I spoiled you with 3 pictures.

This is the converted click icon in Prosper202 under the Spy tab. For those of you that use Prosper you can skip the rest of this paragraph. So basically it’s a beautiful thing. If you join a network like EWA or PeerFly, two of my favorite networks, you can instantly put a tracking pixel on your offer yourself. So as the live clicks come in on your prosper spy tab a little green money icon pops up to show that you just made some money.

I have caught myself finding a hot campaign and literally sitting in front of my computer for a few short minutes watching the clicks come in and seeing the little green money symbols show up. Ah yes, Affiliate Marketing TV at its best.

Shoemoney System

If you haven’t heard Jeremy “Shoemoney” Schoemaker has created, The Shoemoney System, his own make money online program. I believe Shoe make The Shoemoney System because these programs are pretty hot right now. Everything from PPC to PPV and now Shoemoney is getting into the action with a system that covers virtually every angle in the book to make money online.

So far I think the best part about the pre-launch of his system is the fact that he has gotten multiple coupons from places like facebook, myspace and other ad networks for his users to use. That is probably the #1 reason I am thinking about joining the system. Here is a quote from shoemoney himself.

The ShoeMoney System is a video training program that walks you through step by step on how to make money on the internet. But it’s much different than anything anyone has ever seen. Instead of talking about theories on how to make money we actually do it, step by step.

I hired a co-host who not only was not an internet marketing expert….but had no clue what Facebook or twitter was. She is an aspiring pop singer and model and I completely show her (and you) step by step how everything works. I have put my heart and soul into these videos over the last 12 months. I have never worked harder on any other project.

Right now that is about the only thing available online. I have watched a few of the pre-launch videos and it seems like this is well put together and the video tutorials are going to be awesome. Check out the preview video of The Shoemoney System.

2010 Goals

This is my 3rd edition of Goals for myself. 2008 I had some small goals for my internet marketing ventures. 2009 I upped those goals a little and had some personal goals. Let’s revisit 2009.

Lose weight – Failed – I didn’t gain or lose
Get MA Degree – Accomplished – I’m a Master Mathematician now
Checks every Month – Fail (close) – I went 11 of 12 months
One $10K Month – Failed – The highest I got was
$50K Year – Failed – I did not put enough time into this

The online fails were all because of time spent working. I did not put the effort needed to accomplish these goals.

2010 Goals

Personal
Let’s try this weight thing again. It’s really not about the weight as it’s more about being fit and healthier. I can’t think of anything else for personal goals. I have a good live and everything so it’s tough to think of things.

Online
2010 is going to be an interesting year for online profits. I was apart of the “Google Bans of ’09″. I have expanded myself to the PPV market and so I’m hoping to find success there as well as the lesser search engines. I also keep learning more and more about facebook ads and so I hope that helps me out too.

For 2010 I’m going to keep the same goals I had last year. Get a check every month, have a $10k month and generate $50k for the year. These are all within reach but I need to give more effort and spend more time on achieving these goals.

Peerfly Affiliate Network

Without a doubt my new favorite CPA network is PeerFly. I initially signed up with PeerFly through the publishers challenge website where you can earn prizes. At first there was not very many offers, the typical weight loss re-bills and other odd items. In order to try and get some prizes I jumped on their Email submits and was able to score $100 to my paypal account.

PeerFly Affiliate Network Positives

The first big positive is their increasing number of offers to the network. As of today they are up to 281 offers. Not great but they have been increasing that number very fast recently.

Tracking Domain

On an offer, you have the choice to choose a certain tracking domain instead of their default domain. Example: The default tracking domain is peerfly.com. Let’s say you wanted to run a Free Trial offer. You can change the domain from peerfly.com to freetrial4you.com. This way if you’re not hiding your link the person you’re selling to will see that domain instead of the weird peerfly domain. An interesting option

Tracking Pixel / Postback URL

This is my favorite part about PeerFly. I know other networks have this but not all of them. I love the fact that I can enter my prosper202 pixel in the offer myself instead of asking my AM and waiting for them to say “What’s That?”.

Personable

So far dealing with anyone at PeerFly has been very helpful. In each email blast they send the first thing you see is how much is in your account at the time. Nice little reminder that you’re making bank with us. Recently on their blog they just announced a nice little Chirstmas present to their publishers. I can’t wait to receive mine.

Design / Feel

The design and feel of their website great. It’s really smooth and web 2.0 ish. VERY easy to find what you want and need. Right when you log in you see the 5 newest offers, 5 highest converting offers and 5 best performing offers.

PeerFly Negatives

There just isn’t many negatives with this company. They have a great tracking system in place, they are building their offers so you can’t hold that against them. I see nothing but increasing affiliates and revenues with this company.
