Since I launched this contest on October 18th I’ve had quite a few people download the mini-guide. There have been very few that have generated any leads to win the free membership.

Right now after 2 weeks there have been 3 people that have been credited with a referral for downloading the guide. With 3 weeks left there is plenty of time for anyone to get more referrals than 1st place.

These are the names of people that have gotten referrals, in order of standings.

1. Greg
2. Ron
3. Firdaus

I’m not going to release how many referrals they have but trust me it is low enough for any “real marketer” to beat them in one days time.

So, if you have not signed up for my newsletter you can do so at the top right. If you already have all you need to do is put your email address in the url to get credit for a referral.

Good luck to everyone that wants a free membership to CPVDen.com

The fine folks at CPVDen.com have given me the opportunity to give away free memberships to their website. If you don’t know what CPVDen is here is a quick summary.

CPVDen.com is a membership based website teaching its members how to profit with cost-per-view advertising. The price of CPVDen is $50 a month. This contest is worth $600 as they are giving out 1 year memberships.

Here is how the contest works. I wrote a CPV mini-guide this summer and I have had good feedback from it. You can download the guide here.

http://www.browie.com/ppvguide/

Once you download the guide you will be given a referral link to give to your friends. Get as many referrals as you can to read the guide with your link and you could win a 1 year membership to CPVDen.com

-GOOD LUCK

I’ve already written about PPV Playbook in a previous blog post. The difference between that post (January ’10) and this post is a mountain of new information. Wow, a lot has changed in the past 6 months. David Ford first started PPVPlaybook.com in the middle of December and has since grown to one of the best affiliate marketing coaching forums around. I have to get right into it or this post will be LOOONG.

Overview
Originally the forum was about teaching people about CPV/PPV marketing. Then as the memberships came in there was more demand for ppc and social marketing. David added more sub-forums and now they cover all topics on marketing. There is now monthly coaching sessions or anything like that. It’s a straight forum with a lot of tips, tricks, case studies and user created studies. There are nearly 2,000 threads in the forums with 1,000 members. Granted I would have no clue as to how many of those members are still active but I can bet it is A LOT with an average of 80 posts a day since the beginning.

Help
Since the site gained a lot of popularity early it was beneficial for David to bring on some help. Three (i think only 3) members have moved up to become moderators/helpers/experts in the forums. The biggest help involved would be that from Corey of Affportal.com. We’ll get into that later. Besides giving some people titles there are all sorts of bloggers and veteran affiliate marketers in the forums that give out great advice when a question is asked.

Case Studies
This is really a spot where David gives back to his community. With over 50 videos of watching David explain a case study or how to attack a certain tactic he has really set the bar high for other coaching forums. These are not just “here is what I would do” videos. They are videos of his exact landing pages and exact data inside the ad network and his commissions to show how well or poor it has done. I have taken what he has said in some videos and ran with it for profits.

Tools
Most of these coaching forums are nothing unless they have real case studies and/or tools to help their users. This is where Corey from Affportal.com comes into play. Real early in the year David and Corey decided to link up ppvplaybook and affportal to make it a cross-membership site. When you join either of the sites you have access to the other. They had to up the price of each of their products but I would say it is worth it for the serious marketer. I won’t get into all of the tools that Affportal has to offer but I’m not far off when I say it’s the #1 resource for CPV marketing.

Summary
In summary you should see through this post how great of a place PPV Playbook is and if you were on the fence about joining you shouldn’t be now. As always in this 5th edition of my coaching forum series you can email me or just subscribe to my newsletter at the top right and read about discounts to these six websites. If you are already sold on purchasing a membership from PPV Playbook than you can use my link by CLICKING HERE.

One of the affiliate managers from EWA Network hit me up on AIM Wednesday morning and it went a little like this.

AM: I see you are running _____ niche
AM: You should really run traffic to this offer ######
brow1e: Hey thanks alot. I don’t know why I wasn’t running that before must have missed it.
AM: Ya, it’s converting like crazy
brow1e: Adding it to the rotation now

So instead of actually adding it to the rotation I just went and made a new PPV campaign. I decided to direct link it so I could see if it converted at all and maybe I’ll make a landing page later. After a few hours of hanging out at the house and hitting the golf course I was back in the evening to check my stats.

According to the Ad Network they were showing 800 impressions. EWA Network was showing about 280. WTF!!!!! Boy I was pretty hot. I jumped on AIM and Emailed the AM and gave him a piece of my mind. Actually I wasn’t as mean as you might think. He replied back swiftly (that’s EWA for you) with the answer.

AM EMAIL: “Browie, All of our offers are tracking correctly. We do not show clicks for countries that do not support the offer.” Here is a screen shot from today. Mexico – 95, Canada – 60, Brazil – 54, Argentina – 36. I even had people from Iceland view my offer, ugh.

So here is what happened. With a combination of not sifting through the 2,000 URL’s I grabbed from Affportal and forgetting to only target the United States I wasted over half of my impressions on international traffic. Lesson learned and I shut all of the international stuff down and my campaign is back on track.

Thank you, EWA Network

-browie

The story comes from the PPV Playbook Forum and how it has helped me in my ppv marketing. One small thread on a huge forum has increased my profits quite a bit.
