Well it’s the fourth of July and we’re all celebrating.  Hope some people take it easy on the celebrating part.  It’s like any other party holiday, you hope the people that get in accidents aren’t your family.

Yesterday we’re driving home for the holiday to be with family and I hear something disturbing on the radio.  “Tomorrow is the deadliest day to drive”, oh great, I’m driving back home that day…. “Today is the second deadliest day to drive”  AWESOME, the DJ’s know we’re all in our cars yet they like to tell us that anyway.

I know it’s a double edge sword.  The first edge is me complaining that they have to mention that while I’m driving.  The second is the fact that the station wants us to hear that so we’re all just a little be more careful on those days.  I can relax a little now looking at it in tha perspective.

I have two stories about the fourth of July.  I don’t remember how old I was but a little “cat” firecracker went off while I was holding it.  That was the last time I ever held one and lit it to throw it.  My thumb split open, I didn’t need stitches but when you’re young it scares you enough when it hurts that bad.  I know that was a weak one.  Ok, one fourth we took bottle rockets and lit them and threw them in the air, just as they start to shoot they point downward at your friends and shoot right at them.  HA HA now that was fun, and STUPID.
