Soon I will be a math master. Well maybe not really but I will have a Master’s Degree in Mathematics so it’s close enough. I am counting down the days until July 10th where I will finally be finished. This has been a full 2 year process with unbelievable amount of work and dedication to get through each class.
Like I said, I’m down to the final weeks. Along with the end coming near comes a final project of sorts. For us there is a final “topic” that we will research and give a presentation over. My topic is over The Monty Hall Problem. It’s based on conditional probability. What is the probability of something happening given that something else has already happened.
One of the prompt questions to think about was this.
Suppose you meet your new neighbor out walking and he has his daughter with him. You know he has two children. What is the probability the other child is also a girl?
The answer is 1/3 Anyway, not to bore you with other mathematics but my point is the next few weeks I will be focused on my project and will soon be back in the internet marketing game. I can’t wait. Here is a clip from the movie “21″ where Kevin Spacey talks about the Monty Hall problem.
