November PPC Earnings

Category: Uncategorized
10 Comments

Thanks to Hydra Network, November 2008 was my biggest and best month for affiliate marketing.  In previous months I had generated more revenue than my “real job” check.  This last month was the first time I profited more online than what my check was from my “real job”.

Was it something that I did totally different?  Not really.  I actually used this tactic before but didn’t ever scale it to get the amount of traffic I was getting.  I rotated offers, I found the golden nuggets and it kept producing profits.  I even got kicked from an offer on one network (ouch).  Guess what, my profits went down after that.  All in all my ROI started to dip and i shut it down a few days ago.

I enjoyed Novembers profits but now I’m almost back at square one.  The campaign didn’t last much more than three weeks.  I need to build more campaigns and find another one or two big hitters.  Let’s hope I can find more time in the day to work on some things to get it back and have another record month.

If I keep this up I think 2009 might be the year where I should create myself an LLC so I don’t get totally screwed come tax season.  Browie Marketing LLC ?  What do you think?  What should my company name be?

Hey Browie, that’s awesome. Did you learn how earn that much through PPC Coach? I’ve been thinking about joining them and am interested to know if you think it’s been worth it.

@James – It has been worth it to me. I knew a lot about affiliate marketing but did not try it. I had been reading everything under the sun for a few months and then I joined. All of these “polls” you may see around, they work and that’s how i got my foot in the door. Now I can try and promote a lot of things. The main thing is the networking with others.

Hey Browie – great stuff mate. I went back to basics last week and picked up a copy of PollFactory and started pumping out campaigns using MSN and 7Search. Found one winner and have 10 more campaigns ready to launch today. There is no secret except to build and launch.

    hey Bowie,

Was all your earnings from polls on the content network or did you also have a few adwords search campaigns?

How much is irrelevant. There was one major % of my earnings on a poll type campaign. It wasn’t much of a poll but more of something they wanted and so it was always “yes”.

No offense, but I believe that naming your company after yourself is un-original and lacking creativity. Isn’t that what marketing is about? However, integrating your name into it is good marketing. Looking at your sponsors, I see that Shoemoney is up there. He’s got a good one. It’s not the correct spelling for his name, but it relates. The catchiest name I ever heard was for a plumbing business where I live (deep South Texas). The name of the plumbing company was KK Busters Plumbing. So, I called in one day to talk to KK about a septic tank I needed installed for my new home. Well, to my surprise, they spoke broken English, so I talked to the girl that answered in Spanish, and not KK. A couple of weeks later, I mentioned to my wife, after they installed the tank, ‘I never got to meet Mr. Buster.’ Of course the wifeys always have it together, so she says to me ‘You have to read it in Spanglish… It reads Caca Busters.’ DOH! She’s Puerto Rican and I’m Hispanic, and I never caught it! To this day, I remember that name and reference it when marketing comes up in my conversations. That’s the kind of impression I believe you would want to make on those that you do business with.
