PPC Failure to Success

I haven’t been updating my Affiliate Marketing journey as I had hoped to. Just a quick recap of what I’ve done lately. I started last year and decided in January that 2008 would be my year for internet marketing. It started out great, I quickly had a $1K profitable month and was making profit’s every month. Then summer came along and my already hectic life became even more hectic.

By day I work 9 months out of the year so when summer hit I became Mr. Mom. Being home with Isabelle is great and I wouldn’t change it for anything. I also took 3 weeks of summer classes for my Masters Degree in Mathematics. Oh, to top it all of I just sold my home and signed papers today to buy a different one (later article). So I’ve been busy.

The start of July I told myself I need to quit trying all these things and focus on one item, and so I did. I quit making quick bucks here and there and decided to try a tough internet marketing niche. It was a tough first few weeks being in the red probably $200+ dollars. I know… some of the big dawgs like to lose a thousand before they start to really make money. But I’m not at that point yet. I kept working and kept trying different keywords and tweaking my landing page so I can get a long term item going.

I’m happy to say that by the end of this month I’ll probably break even if not come out ahead less than $100. These are not impressive “data collecting” numbers but spending $500+ to generate $500 in revenue just seems silly. All I can say is doing this probably will help my Affiliate Marketing skills in the long run. Plus the last 7 days have been profitable so my campaign is going in the right direction.

If anyone reading this has a story about their failure to success in a campaign or Affiliate Marketing in general hit me up and I’ll publish it. I’m always looking for some guest posts.
