PPV Campaign

In affiliate marketing I would say that there is a lot of interest in ppv campaigns. The interest level has been increasing throughout 2009. I have dabbled a little bit with the network Media Traffic and so I know the in’s and out’s but I have yet to have a real “successful” campaign.

I did a few small campaigns where I picked the urls to target and offered people an email submit. By bidding $0.015 per view I lost a bit on one or two, broke even some and made a few dollars on others. Like I said I tried out a few things but didn’t really go after it. I am notorious for trying to learn everything I can before I jump in. I even shop for items this way.

Just last night I really went after it this time. I had done enough learning and wanted a full blown 1,000 (at least) url PPV campaign to test out. I have picked what I thought might be an easy niche to get impulsive targets. I built a landing page instead of direct linking the offer. If I direct linked it would have been much faster.

When I was sure I was 100% ready I signed up for AffPortal.com. This has a lot of brand new tools for people that want to make PPV campaigns MUCH faster. I couldn’t imagine trying to get 1,000 urls without their tools. Plus with a $5 trial offer for a week it was easy to at least try the tools out with a few campaigns.

Since Media Traffic has to manually activate my campaign I have to wait until the next day to see my campaign launch. I put a $50/day cap on my budget and have plans to let it roll from Thursday through Sunday. I’m pretty happy with the outcome of what I built so we’ll see. Now I need to get started on a 2nd campaign because we all know in affiliate marketing you can get lucky sometimes but you probably have to make a few to really hit a big one.
