Have you noticed the influx of internet marketing training forums that have popped up the past few months? I have and I’ve checked out quite a few of them.

Over the next few days I’m going to go through a list of these forums that claim to help you make money online through affiliate marketing. Even though the most common solution to your marketing troubles is to “JUST DO IT”. But, it is nice to see other ideas and ask simple questions when starting out.

You may not even know how to create an ad on Facebook or Plenty of Fish or know how PPV works and so that is why there is a market for these types of forums. Here is a list of the forums that I’ll be giving an overview of throughout the next week or two. Since this is a male driven hobby or business you were all expecting something more than this I’m sure. Although maybe a little “Women of Affiliate Marketing” post is in order for future reference.

Ok so I spoiled you with 3 pictures.

This is the converted click icon in Prosper202 under the Spy tab. For those of you that use Prosper you can skip the rest of this paragraph. So basically it’s a beautiful thing. If you join a network like EWA or PeerFly, two of my favorite networks, you can instantly put a tracking pixel on your offer yourself. So as the live clicks come in on your prosper spy tab a little green money icon pops up to show that you just made some money.

I have caught myself finding a hot campaign and literally sitting in front of my computer for a few short minutes watching the clicks come in and seeing the little green money symbols show up. Ah yes, Affiliate Marketing TV at its best.

What’s Going On?

I can not keep up with anything these days can I? I recently had one of my biggest revenue months this year for November. My profits were not as good as I wanted but that is how it works out sometimes. I was recently trying to hit up all of these crazy shoppers for the holiday’s. Good thing there is still a month left of shopping. There seemed to be a bit more competition this year for ad spots as my cpc seemed a little higher than last years shopping season.

The past two months I have been having a good time with having a title over at PPC-Coach.com. Since getting one of the Assistant Coaching positions I have been busy with reading virtually every post created and answering questions the best I can in the help desk. With the new title me and the other Assistant are in charge of having a bi-weekly Q&A session webinar. My first experience with running was was great. The questions members asked helped everyone that was there. We will start recording these so the people that can’t make it will still be able to hear what was discussed.

In affiliate marketing I have been poking around with some PPV and small Media Buys from ad networks and seeing if I can’t find a winner. It would be so much easier to get on that train instead banking off of Google all the time. Google is a difficult beast but I do have success with them and I am not running Re-bills so I’m safer than most. The best part about the recent month have been moving up the rankings of a contest. I love getting free stuff from networks for driving traffic to their companies.

Finally, I’ve started to really look at my stupid domains that I have purchased over the past year. I’m sure a lot of you have some dumb ones also. When I don’t use them correctly I need to hook them up with auto-blogs or maybe use a little SENuke to get some free traffic to them. They are a waste of money. I’m sure I’ve earned my $7 to $10 back from purchasing them but they are a waste.

That is all for now and I, as always, hope to get back to talking more on this blog than normal. BTW I had a great Turkey Weekend.

2 Years and Counting

In 10 days it will mark what I call my official 2 year point in which I made affiliate marketing my new passion/hobby. With this celebration coming up I am going to be giving something away in 10 days. Keep and eye out it might be something that you are interested in.

I know it’s a short post but hey I thought of it so I wanted to post it.

Learn About Media Buys for Affiliate Marketing

There seems to always be a new push in the affiliate marketing game. Media Buying is one of those new items. It is not new by any means, it’s probably the oldest form but no one really jumped on it or talked about it like they are today. When the search engines opened their doors to very cheap CPC engines they caught the attention to those that wanted to advertise without being held to a monthly type contract. Now you can grab media buys on a CPC and CPM basis with some advertising networks. None of this is really new, just talked about more.

This is where MediaBuysCoach.com comes into play. This a brand new website opened up by two individuals. One of them is the creator of PPC-Coach.com, the place where I got started in my affiliate marketing hobby. The second gentleman is a member of PPC-Coach but has made is big money with Media Buys. Together they have the coaching know how and Media Buy specialties to create a subscription based coaching website solely on media buys. Here is a quote from their website.

This site was created to teach you how to do media buys. We focus strictly on media buys here, no other fluff or filler. If you’re serious about making money online, then you have come to the right place. We can help you if you’re new to affiliate marketing or if you’ve done PPC and free traffic already and are looking for something else to add to your aresenal. Also, you do not need to have a $5,000 or $10,000 budget to do media buys. Yes we teach that way too, but we know most are not willing to risk that much money at first. So you can have a much much smaller budget, (ie UNDER $1,000) to start with our training.

The subscription is a bit pricey for the newbies in the industry. $200/month for the subscription or you can lock in a 3 or 6 month membership for a small discount. So, if you’re making a decent amount of money with your other affiliate marketing techniques like article marketing, ppc and seo then maybe media buying is your next step. I again do NOT recommend this be a site you want to join if you’re just learning about affiliate marketing. There are cheap ways to purchase media buys but at $200/month it’s a bit tougher to make that count if you are not already well above that in your other efforts.
