First there was Adsense. The contextual advertising tool that generates advertisements based on what is related to your site. There may have been others but Shoemoney created AuctionAds. AuctionAds was similar to Adsense but it retrieved its advertisements from Ebay. If your website was more relevant to people purchasing items this was a good option for you.

Now we have CPA Shuffle. CPA Shuffle is similar to the previous two only this time it displays offers from Affiliate Networks. This seems like a pretty good idea doesn’t it? Instead of placing Adsense on your sites and receiving anywhere from 20 to 30 cent clicks you could have a click produce a $20 affiliate offer. The key part I mentioned was “could”. People will just have to test it out on their own sites to see which one performs better.

CPA Shuffle is now in Beta and has not been release to the public yet. One of the major reasons I feel it is in beta is because there is only one network available as of now, Hydra Network. Another difference between CPA Shuffle and adsense is it does not draw from your page on what ads to show. You are in charge of which categories to display and they will rotate based on your choices.

When CPA Shuffle gets through their Beta I will assume there will be plenty of networks to rotate offers on the ads. Another great option that will be available is the amount of ads per network will show. You are able to put a percent to each network and that network will show more or less, depending on what percents you give each of them.

As you can see I am showing an ad in this post. I wanted to show the border and different color links just like a regular adsense ad. Some of you will want to wait until something like this is out of beta and that is totally understandable. I’m hoping more networks will get on board soon and Beta can turn into public launch very quickly.

So, what do you think about the new CPA Shuffle?

I’ve been kind of in depression mode with how this Wotogepa contest has gone lately. Some one is going to win after generating very few dollars. They will receive a lifetime membership to PPC-Coach for barely working. Oh well, we’ll let that one slide.

Recently there was a reply to what I should do with this iPod Nano that I have laying around. “The first person to reach $3,000 on your contest gets the iPod. ” was the quote. Excellent idea, I thought. I think we’ll do that.

Come January, I’ll give away this iPod Nano to the first person that generates $2,000 on Hydra Network. I hate to go away from my boys at Wotogepa, but we have not had good luck with them. If you want to sign up on Hydra right now, go ahead check them out. Let me give you a quick story on why I chose them.

First, I know my AM Tammy will be excited. When I had my big November, Hydra was the main reason. I was an affiliate with them for 2 months before that but didn’t even try one of the their offers. The first month I use them, I had a great month. They do not use DirectTrack (that’s a plus) and their tracking has been spot on with everything that I test.

I think that was a great idea by BusinessX

I will announce the winners of the December Contest tomorrow.

Edit: July 13 – Contest is Over

Here are my 2 cents. (funny huh?) Ok, so in Affiliate Marketing you can make a lot of crazy things work to make you money. I can do something really newbish and profit $10 after spending $100 on PPC in Adwords or YSM or wherever. The key to affiliate marketing is to have that return on investment (ROI) percent as high as possible. So if I spend $100 I always want to try and bring in $200 revenue for a 100% ROI.

Case Study
This isn’t always as easy as it sounds. Let’s take a look at one of my campaigns I started last Monday (11/10). There is nothing to brag about here but I have spent $1,200 the past seven days on this campaign. My revenue is about $1,900 so in terms of ROI I’m sitting at 72% ROI. I can deal with that, but I want MORE. I’m so greedy.

After trying to get my cost per click down I’ve decided it’s time to rotate offers. The one offer I was using was doing great. I was converting in the high 20% mark. If you rotate a few offers you might find something that is doing better. DID I EVER. After a full 24 hour period of rotating 3 different offers it’s awesome to see my results.

Summary
My original offer was still giving me the $0.40 earning per click it had been. And the other two were $0.65 and $0.69 EPC respectively. WOW and guess what happened with my ROI recently? Just this day my ROI is 120%. Remember my one week total was sitting at 70% ROI. Just by rotating some new offers in I can see where I should be sending my clicks.

Some of you that have been “in the game” a while are probably saying, “Hey browie, this was only one day”. Agreed. While I am not going to run and stop the train I am going to let it go like this for a while and if my ROI is still hot I will switch.

If you are not rotating offers to find the best converting one then it’s time to start. The two networks that I was using to rotate offers were Affiliate.com and Hydra Network. Here is the script that I was using.

<?php
extract($_REQUEST);
// offer.php
$offer[1] = "affiliatelink.com";
$offer[2] = "affiliatelink.com";

$goto = $offer[rand(1, sizeof($offer))];

header(“Location: $goto”);
?>

*note – if you copy/paste this you may need to edit some things*

It’s that simple. Put this in a PHP file and name it whatever you want like “offer.php”. Send your visitors to that link and it will randomly select one of those offers. You can add as many as you want too. Just add another line -> $offer[3] = “afflink”;
