This post is part 1 of my series Internet Marketing Training Sites. The following is not a paid review by The Keyword Academy. These are my personal feelings about the program.

The Keyword Academy (pro), as it is called, was created by Court Tuttle and Mark Butler. They launched their training program in late 2008. Since the launch they have grown to well over 1,000 members in their training program.

What Is It?
This is a program for those that want to make long lasting steady online income. It is mostly centered around adsense but there are a lot of people using affiliate programs as their #1 income source. Court and Mark teach you the steps to create a full blow website that brings in residual income. Obviously you need to pick a keyword or keywords to base your site off of and from there write content, get backlinks, etc.

Tools
This program boast two very good “tools”. The first tool is a Niche finder called Niche Refinery. It is similar to your Keyword Elite 2 and Market Samuari and Micro Niche Finder tools. This tool takes keywords that you found using the google keyword tool and runs it through their own formula to rank each keyword on ease of domination and potential adsense earnings. So, those that create sites based off of affiliate commissions won’t really care much about the adsense earnings but it is nice to see how easy it is to get in the top spots of google.

The second tool like item they have is a plugin for wordpress called Postrunner. Since this program teaches building SEO sites you have to get links to your websites in order to gain any ground. So you have your own private article super store. Members can use this plugin on a website and create their own article directory. Remember how I said they had over 1,000 members? There is a a huge number of those members that have created one of these article directory sites (me included). So, not only do you have access to hundreds of backlinks, you can own a directory site and earn income off of it too. In my opinion this is the selling point of the program.

Forum
Like any training site they have a nice forum for everyone to mingle. As I’m writing this there were over 10 posts in the last 30min. They only show the last 10 posts but you get the idea, it’s very active.

Webinars
Webinars have been a hot item the past year or two. These guys are going with the flow and have monthly webinars. These guys are well organized and always have excellent turnout. Here is a title of a previous webinar, “How to Setup a $5,000/month Supersite”. They talk about how to take your site that is doing very well and turn it into an authority.

Cost
The cost is typical to all of these training sites in this series. The first month is $30. The recurring months are either $59 or $67 per month. Yes it seems silly to me to add $8/month. Here is what the extra $8 gets you – Download of Webinars (good if you miss them) – Forum Access. So right there I think we all know how important forum access is with these training sites. That is where you can see what others are doing and ask a lot of questions.

NEW COST
As of July 20th, 2010 Mark and Court have dropped their price to $33/month and that is it. They even offered folks that were paying $67/month to change their payment immediately. This coaching site is now a STEAL.

Extra
Here is the #1 thing that sets Court and Mark apart from the other 5 training sites that are in this series. They are cheerleaders and motivators. Here are a few examples. In the forums next to your avatar people collect little badges of success, people love them. Another motivation is how they create groups to push each other along. This summer they are getting a group of members together to get 1,000 people to make $1,000 a month by June 2011.

Conclusion
So if you are interested in low risk, long term residual online income then The Keyword Academy is what you’re looking for.
